beginning the Tuesday workday

As I opened my eyes
at sunrise I kissed
my imaginary lover
hummed my favorite
morning love song
took a long hot shower
had a cheap breakfast
ate an apple
ate an orange
ate oatmeal
and in those moments I

admired the sunbeams
streaming lithely through
cracks between thin slats
of white Venetian blinds
rays of Tuesday morning sun
bringing sweet colors
of bright yellow and green
and dark gray shadows
from sycamore leaves
lazily lingering outside
almost touching my window
almost touching my origin
flickered by currents of air

so lovely
I sighed a wonder
and paused the frame
as if in fervent prayer
lost in a timeless place
with an unusual essence
in the moment before I
faced the solitary wall
stared at my eMachine
then got very busy
making imaginary money
