a new dimension

from the distance
i saw the blue marble
spinning in space
with spots of emerald green
and swirling white patterns

suspended beautiful
spinning in the distance

so, at the speed of light
i soared toward it
with outstretched wings
and great anticipation
but the ship was fragile
and the rock was hard
